Making Valentines Day Last All Year Round

by Robin Forbes

Valentine's Day Heart Box of ChocolatesDuring the week leading up to Valentines Day and on the day itself you often hear people say you should celebrate your love all year round and not get so worked up about that one day in the year.

I agree to a point. But have you ever tried skipping Valentines Day? Yeah, good luck mister...

However, I do have an interesting and somewhat novel idea for spreading the Valentines Day love throughout the year. It's not a new or particularly original idea but it is one that the vast majority of men doesn't even consider let alone do.

If you're like most men, you probably buy three cards a year for your sweetie; One for his birthday, your anniversary and another for Valentines Day.

When you go and buy your sweetie a Valentines card this year, also pick up a box or two of Valentines cards, or eleven more single cards. One card is for the big day and should be extra special. The other cards are for giving to your special guy the other eleven months of the year; on the fourteenth.

The types of Valentines Day cards that you choose to give throughout the year could be a mixture of sweet and sentimental, naughty or funny. Personally, I'd go with a different type every month.

To make this an even better idea; be sure to actually write something on the cards other than whom it's to and who it's from. Consider these cards as little love notes to give to your lover throughout the year.

This is a nice, romantic and fun gesture that can add to the list of "little things he does that makes me love him even more".

And it's just given you a practical way to help spread the Valentines Day loving year round.

Wishing you a creative Valentines Day all year round!
