Romantic Dating Ideas for When the World is a Winter Wonderland
by Robin Forbes
What can you do or where can you take your boyfriend when the world is blanketed in snow? There are all sorts of possibilities! Here are a few ideas to jar your memory.
Nature Walks
Taking a walk or hike through a park or anywhere really is quite different than any other season in most areas.
There are lots of new sights and things to discover or do during the winter. Don't forget to take a camera to capture some of those magical moments.
Outdoor Ice Skating
If you're fortunate to live in a city or region that has outdoor skating rinks then this can be a fun outdoor dating idea.
This is I think even especially true if skating is not something that either you or your date would normally do. Not only is it fun but it shows that you're willing to try new things, regardless that the activity isn't exactly an earth shattering important feat.
Skiing and Snowboarding
Hitting the slopes when you have someone to share the experience with is so much more fun. Keep an eye out for "gay ski weekends" as they're becoming popular.
Whistler, British Columbia, Telluride Colorado and even NZ have annual Gay ski events. Other ski areas may also have gay themed ski weekends or days.
Sledding
Can't ski or snowboard? How about releasing your inner child and doing some sledding, sliding or tubing down suitable sledding hills? You'll have hours of great fun and when you're both tired out, retire to the warmth of a coffee shop, or pub for some special hot drinks to warm your insides up.
Horse Drawn Carriages or Sleighs
Snuggle up with your honey under a blanket in a horse drawn carriage or sleigh and go on a romantic tour of the city, park or wherever else such tours are available.
